David Heinemeier Hansson, creator of the Ruby on Rails framework and Partner at 37Signals gives insight into creating a profitable startup company. David’s voice sounds a bit Kermit sometimes, but he makes some fucking good points (plus it is very entertaining).

Camera was not moved during the recording. Insanely great “no3d” execution & idea!

Roger Wieland: “I first made the animation in After Effects. Than I "traced" each frame with pieces of paper that I cut in the right shape. It looks 3d, but it isn't. The camera is constantly on top of it.”

Another great TED talk, this time by Larry Lessig, Stanford professor and copyright lawyer extraordinaire. You probably don’t know this guy, but if you get the idea behind Creative Commons, you know who Larry is.

It starts a bit slow, but after minute 14, you will consider this video “worth watching”. Larry pins down the key shortcomings of our dusty, pre-digital intellectual property laws, and reveals how bad laws beget bad code.
